Panic ensued in Nagpur, Maharashtra, after police discovered a large cache of explosives near the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) headquarters. The explosives, consisting of 58 detonators and 15 gelatin sticks, were found in an abandoned bag in a garden behind a house close to CA Road, just 1.5 kilometers from the RSS office. The Lanjewar family alerted authorities after noticing suspicious items protruding from the bag. Deputy Commissioner of Police Rahul Madane confirmed that the bag had been unattended for over a month. A bomb disposal squad was deployed, and nearby residents were evacuated as a precaution. The area, which is near Mahal—a communally sensitive locality that experienced unrest last year—heightened security concerns. Police Commissioner Ravinder Singal stated that an investigation is underway to determine the source and intent behind the explosives, raising questions about how such a significant amount remained undetected in a densely populated area.
