The All India Football Federation (AIFF) announced Chettri's return, highlighting his previous experience during the Asian Cup qualifying campaign. He has named a 22-member squad for the upcoming FIFA Series 2026 tournament in Kenya, which will take place during the April FIFA International Women's Match Window. The Blue Tigresses will face the hosts, Kenya, in the semi-final on April 11, 2024, at the Nyayo National Stadium in Nairobi. The tournament also features Australia and Malawi, who will compete in the other semi-final on the same day. The final and third-place play-off are scheduled for April 15, 2024.
