The robbery took place on March 31 in the Laxmi Nagar area, where Tavleen and his accomplice, Mohit Kumar Tiwari, ambushed the victim while riding a scooter. Mohit fired two shots in the air to intimidate the father. The third suspect, Pankaj, was involved in planning the crime. Following the incident, police launched an investigation, reviewing over 200 CCTV footages to identify the suspects. Tavleen was apprehended while attempting to flee, while Mohit and Pankaj were caught on a bus heading to Bihar. The police recovered the stolen cash and the scooter, and are working to locate the firearm used in the robbery, which was reportedly acquired from Munger, Bihar for ₹45,000 (around $540 USD). Authorities confirmed that none of the suspects had prior criminal records, and investigations are ongoing.
