In a tragic incident in Raipur Rani, Panchkula district, India, two cousins, Arun (18) and Dixit, lost their lives when a truck collided with their motorcycle on the night of April 4-5. According to reports, the cousins were returning home after visiting a relative in Badona Kalan village. At approximately 12:15 AM, while Arun was riding the motorcycle with Dixit as a pillion passenger, a truck, allegedly driven recklessly and on the wrong side of the road, struck them near Pir Baba’s mazar. The impact was so severe that both victims were thrown onto the road, and the truck's rear wheel ran over them, resulting in their immediate deaths. The truck driver, identified as Abhishek Thakur from Chamba district in Himachal Pradesh, has been arrested and charged under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, including causing death by a rash act and negligent driving. The truck has been impounded, and the deceased's bodies were returned to their family after a post-mortem examination.
