Volkswagen India has officially unveiled the 2026 Taigun facelift, enhancing its SUV lineup to better compete in the market. The updated model showcases a range of cosmetic upgrades, including a refreshed front grille with a connected LED daytime running light setup, new illuminated Volkswagen logos, and stylish blacked-out alloy wheels. Inside, the Taigun offers a modernized cabin with up to six upholstery options, a two-tone dashboard, and a new 10.1-inch infotainment system that supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Safety remains a priority, with the SUV achieving a 5-star rating from GNCAP and featuring over 40 safety elements such as parking sensors and traction control. The Taigun retains its turbo-petrol engine options, with a notable addition of an 8-speed automatic gearbox for the 1.0-litre variant, while the 1.5-litre option continues with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. Pricing details have yet to be disclosed, but the Taigun is set to compete against rivals like the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos.
