A tragic incident occurred in Perumbakkam, Chennai, where 29-year-old Arun, a software engineer, lost his life in a hit-and-run accident. The accident took place as he was returning to his hostel in Medavakkam after work at an IT company in Sholinganallur. Reports indicate that a car struck Arun's two-wheeler from behind while he was near a private hospital, causing him to fall onto the road where the vehicle subsequently ran over him. Despite the immediate response from the Pallikaranai traffic investigation wing police, Arun sustained severe injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have registered a case and are actively searching for the driver of the car involved in this unfortunate incident.
