A 26-year-old software engineer from Hyderabad was discovered dead in his rented room in Amravati, Pinjore, on Thursday morning. Neighbors alerted the police after he failed to respond since the previous night. Upon entering the room, authorities found the man lying in a pool of blood with multiple sharp injuries on his wrists, neck, and chest. A kitchen knife and his mobile phone were recovered from the scene, along with cryptic writings on the walls, allegedly made with his blood. The room was in disarray, with belongings scattered and an LED television damaged. Sub-inspector Pritam Singh indicated that the room was bolted from the inside, suggesting no external entry, leading investigators to consider suicide as a possibility. The body has been sent to the mortuary for an autopsy, which will occur after the family arrives. Preliminary investigations have not indicated foul play, and police are continuing their inquiries.
