The Hyderabad Police successfully recovered a stolen scooter after the original owner received a traffic violation notification three months post-theft. Upon receiving the notification, which included a photo of his vehicle and the rider, the owner alerted the police via X (formerly Twitter). The police acted swiftly, utilizing traffic and security cameras to locate the scooter parked outside an eatery in Attapur, Hyderabad. Inspector T Purushottam Rao of the Habeeb Nagar police station clarified that while the rider was not the thief, his younger brother had taken the scooter without permission. The brother, a veterinary assistant, had been using the vehicle after it was left idle at their home. Both siblings are now considered offenders, although their names have not been disclosed as this is their first offense. The police plan to return the scooter to its rightful owner after completing the necessary legal procedures.
