In Pune district, Maharashtra, India, Pooja Ravindra Pawar, a 22-year-old woman, was arrested for the alleged murder of her 11-month-old son, Yash. The incident occurred on March 8, when Pooja reportedly killed her child by striking his head against a stone platform. Following the murder, she concealed the body in a bag filled with rocks and discarded it in a well to destroy evidence. The case unfolded when Pooja's husband, Ravindra Ashok Pawar, reported their disappearance to the police on April 5, after she failed to return home. Initially, he did not suspect foul play due to her previous unexplained absences. However, police investigations quickly led to Pooja's location in Jambut village, where she initially claimed that Yash had fallen and sustained an injury. Upon further questioning, she confessed to the murder, citing her desire to remarry as a motive. Pooja has been placed in police custody until April 10, as the investigation continues.
