In Kharar, Punjab, police have arrested Ram, the primary suspect in the murder of 22-year-old Aman Dahiya, a law student at Chandigarh University. Dahiya was fatally stabbed on Wednesday after dropping off his friend, Lavisa, at her apartment in a housing society. According to the victim's uncle, Neel Kumar, Dahiya was confronted by Ram and two accomplices, Monu and Vijay, who attacked him as he exited his vehicle. Despite sustaining multiple stab wounds, Dahiya managed to flee and call for help, identifying his attackers. He was rushed to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) in Sector 32, where he was pronounced dead. DSP Karan Sandhu confirmed the arrest and stated that the attack may have stemmed from Ram's suspicion that Dahiya had reported him to the police regarding a separate incident. Lavisa has also been taken into custody for questioning about the events surrounding the murder. The police are actively searching for the other suspects and analyzing CCTV footage from the area. The investigation is ongoing, and the deceased hailed from Ghibalana village in Sonepat district, Haryana, India.
