The Delhi Traffic Police has announced a traffic advisory for the Paharganj area, effective from April 10 to April 12, due to the annual Satsang (Ijtema) event at Shahi Idgah. Authorities anticipate a footfall of approximately 50,000 devotees each day, leading to regulated vehicular movement between 8 am and 8 pm on key routes. Major roads such as Rani Jhansi Road, R.K. Marg, and areas near the Eidgah roundabout will be impacted. Commuters are advised to avoid these routes during peak hours and consider using Faiz Road as an alternate corridor. Traffic congestion is expected to peak during the entry and exit periods of the gathering. The final dispersal of devotees is scheduled for after 10 pm on April 12, which may further increase traffic pressure in and around Sadar Bazar. Residents and commuters are encouraged to plan their journeys ahead and stay updated through official traffic channels to minimize inconvenience.
