On April 8, traffic in central Delhi will be significantly affected due to the Indian Premier League (IPL) match between the Delhi Capitals and Gujarat Titans at Arun Jaitley Stadium. The match is set to take place from 7 PM to 10:30 PM, with expected congestion on major roads from 12 PM to midnight. The Delhi Traffic Police has issued an advisory indicating that diversions and restrictions may be enforced on Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg and Jawaharlal Nehru Marg. Heavy and commercial vehicles will be banned on these routes, particularly between Daryaganj and Delhi Gate, and ITO to Delhi Gate. Commuters are urged to avoid specific roads, including JLN Marg and Asaf Ali Road. Parking near the stadium will be limited, with free parking and shuttle services provided at locations such as Mata Sundari Road and Rajghat Power House Road. Shuttle buses will run from these spots starting two hours before the match until one hour after it concludes. Violators of parking regulations will face towing and prosecution.
