This acquisition is part of Amazon's strategy to enhance its presence in the satellite internet market, particularly through its Project Kuiper, which aims to launch approximately 3,200 satellites by 2029. The deal allows Amazon immediate access to Globalstar's existing satellite network, which includes around two dozen satellites currently in orbit.
