Winshear Metals (TSXV:WINS) has announced that it has qualified for and received $169,892 from the Ontario Junior Exploration Program (OJEP), which supports early-stage mineral exploration in Ontario, Canada. This funding will cover 50% of the company's qualifying exploration expenditures at the Thunder Bay Project, located in northwestern Ontario. The OJEP is designed to encourage investment in mineral exploration, stimulate economic growth, and prioritize opportunities in northern and Indigenous communities. Stephen Lecce, Ontario's Minister of Energy and Mines, emphasized the importance of securing minerals for economic sovereignty. Winshear's CEO, Richard Williams, expressed gratitude for the support, highlighting the program's role in facilitating mineral exploration. The Thunder Bay Project encompasses a 360 km² land package with potential for gold, base metals, and nickel sulphide mineralization. The 2025 exploration program included extensive sampling, leading to the identification of four key gold targets. The company plans further exploration activities, including detailed soil sampling and airborne magnetics, to refine these targets.
