The evaluation of answer sheets for the Tamil Nadu Class 10 public examination has started today, with results anticipated on May 20, 2026. This year, 896,550 students, including 882,806 regular school students and 13,744 private candidates, participated in the exams that began on March 11. The Directorate of Government Examinations has issued guidelines to district education officers for the allocation of evaluation centers based on student numbers. Teachers are required to evaluate answer sheets in their respective subjects to expedite the correction process. Last year, the results were announced on May 16, but this year’s results have been delayed due to elections. Students can check their results on the official websites, tnresults.nic.in and dge.tn.gov.in, using their registration number and date of birth. To pass, students must achieve a minimum of 35% overall and at least 35 marks in each subject, with specific requirements for practical assessments.
