The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced the elimination of several militant operatives in recent operations targeting groups linked to Hezbollah and Islamic Jihad. On Wednesday, the IDF killed Maher Qassem Hamdan, identified as the commander of the Lebanese Resistance Brigades in southern Lebanon, along with eight other militants. Hamdan was reportedly involved in recruitment, weapons supply, and financing for the group, which has connections to Hezbollah. Additionally, the IDF confirmed the death of Abd al-Rahman Ammar Hassan Khudari, a militant associated with Islamic Jihad, who allegedly participated in the October 7 attack in Gaza. The IDF's operations also included strikes in Beirut, where they targeted Ali Yusuf Harshi, a close associate of Hezbollah's Secretary-General Naim Qassem, further disrupting Hezbollah's operational capabilities. The military emphasized its commitment to neutralizing threats while adhering to existing ceasefire arrangements.
