The UP BEd entrance examination took place on Sunday, with around 4,00,506 candidates appearing out of 4,44,958 registered applicants, resulting in an overall attendance rate of 86% in Jhansi district. The highest attendance was noted in Kasganj and Pilibhit at 95%, while Ghaziabad and Gautam Buddha Nagar reported the lowest at 84%. The examination was conducted across 1,011 centres distributed in 72 districts throughout Uttar Pradesh. Bundelkhand University was responsible for overseeing the exam, implementing strict security protocols that included the deployment of 22,000 CCTV cameras and 5,651 biometric devices. The examination centres utilized advanced AI technology for real-time biometric attendance verification, employing facial recognition and fingerprint authentication. The AI surveillance system monitored examination halls and entry-exit points, generating alerts for unauthorized access. A VoIP-based communication network connected all examination centres directly to the organizing university, ensuring effective communication and oversight during the examination process.
