The University of Mumbai has launched an inquiry into the alleged leak of three question papers from its third year Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) examinations, which took place between April 10 and 15. The investigation began after students raised concerns with the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) about answers circulating on social media prior to the exams. On April 15, during the taxation exam at R D National College in Bandra, a university squad questioned a student and requested the college management to check his mobile phone. This led to the identification of six other students involved in the alleged leak. Despite the ongoing investigation, students were allowed to complete their exams. ABVP leader Prashant Mali has accused the university of attempting to suppress the issue, calling for criminal cases against those involved. The university has stated that if any individuals are found guilty, strict action will be taken according to the rules.
