During a visit to Jaipur, US Ambassador to India Sergio Gor celebrated the city’s beauty, referring to it as the 'Heart of Rajasthan' and the 'Pink City.' In a post on X, he noted how every sunset casts a rose and gold hue on its palaces, emphasizing Jaipur's architectural grandeur and cultural richness. Gor was accompanied by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and his wife, Jeanette Rubio, who took a break from their geopolitical discussions in New Delhi to explore India's heritage. Their itinerary included a tour of the iconic Amber Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage site, where the delegation experienced the architectural craftsmanship of Rajasthan. Earlier, they visited the Taj Mahal in Agra, which Rubio hailed as a global treasure. Following their cultural exploration, Rubio returned to New Delhi to attend the Quad summit hosted by External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, underscoring the balance between diplomacy and cultural engagement in their visit.
