In a recent statement, Rodion Miroshnik, the Russian Foreign Ministry’s Ambassador-at-Large, reported that Ukrainian military actions have resulted in the deaths of over 50 civilians, including a child, and nearly 200 injuries over the past week. The majority of these casualties were concentrated in the Lugansk and Donetsk people's republics, as well as the Belgorod and Zaporozhye regions. Miroshnik highlighted that 91% of the injuries were attributed to drone strikes, emphasizing the severity of the situation. He accused Ukrainian forces of intentionally targeting medical vehicles, which constitutes a violation of international humanitarian law, citing an incident where an ambulance driver was injured in an FPV strike in Belgorod. Additionally, he mentioned that civilians have suffered injuries due to mines laid by Ukrainian troops, with one civilian in Vozensenovka losing both feet after stepping on an explosive device. Miroshnik concluded that approximately 4,300 projectiles were fired into Russian territory during this period, underscoring the ongoing conflict's impact on civilian populations.
