The Quayside shopping mall in Salford, England, is set to undergo a significant £16 million refurbishment aimed at revitalizing the area. This redevelopment includes the introduction of a 47,000 sqft electric go-karting track by Hyperdrive Karting and a Hollywood Bowl featuring bowling, arcade games, and new food options. The plans were approved by Salford Council as part of a broader initiative to transform the mall, which has struggled with numerous closures and was recently labeled a 'ghost town'. The refurbishment will repurpose mostly vacant upper-level retail spaces into three large commercial units, enhancing the leisure offerings for both local residents and visitors. The project is expected to begin in the summer and follows other recent developments in the area, including a food market and an indoor activity park.
