The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) announced a record pass rate of 83.86% for Class 10 students this year, an improvement from last year's 83.08%. Narmada district led with the highest pass percentage at 90.85%, while Panchmahals had the lowest at 76.42%. Among the exam centers, Ajol in Gandhinagar achieved a perfect 100% pass rate, whereas Munkholsa in Dahod recorded a mere 33.74%. A total of 35,508 students secured an A-1 grade, an increase of 6,453 from last year. Female students excelled with a pass rate of 88.28%, outperforming boys at 80.12%. The exams were conducted in February and March, with 7,56,392 regular students taking part, of which 6,34,327 passed. English medium students performed the best with a 92.50% pass rate, followed by Gujarati medium at 82.67% and Hindi medium at 77.20%. The number of schools achieving a 100% pass rate rose to 1,697, while those with less than 30% results decreased.
