On June 4, the Barnegat Township School District will host the fifth annual One Barnegat Music and Arts Festival at Barnegat High School, showcasing 1,500 student artworks from preschool through 12th grade. The event, which runs from 5 to 9 p.m., is expected to attract over 2,500 attendees. This year, attendees can look forward to new features, including a repurposed STEM bus that will offer hands-on activities for students in grades K-8, designed to promote interest in science, technology, engineering, and math. The festival will start with a performance by the district-wide chorus, followed by an awards ceremony recognizing the achievements of visual arts students. Throughout the evening, various performances from music and theater programs will highlight the talents of students across multiple grade levels. In addition to the artistic displays and performances, families can enjoy attractions like a slime activity truck and a selection of food trucks, making it a comprehensive celebration of student creativity.
