A high-level delegation from the European Union (EU) will visit Guwahati, Assam, on June 8-9 to foster collaboration with India's North-Eastern States. This visit aligns with the Comprehensive Strategic Agenda established during the EU-India Summit in January. The delegation, including EU Ambassadors and business representatives, will engage with Assam’s Chief Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma, to explore trade and investment opportunities. A key highlight will be the launch of Assam’s first Blue Valley Cluster, which focuses on sectors such as fragrances, AYUSH, and food processing. This cluster aims to connect Europe, North-East India, and Bhutan, promoting sustainable manufacturing and innovation. The visit will also feature a workshop organized by the Government of Assam to facilitate partnerships between European and Indian businesses. Additionally, the delegation will tour Tata Electronics’ semiconductor plant, underscoring Assam's growing significance in high-tech manufacturing. Ambassador Hervé Delphin emphasized the region's potential and the importance of building long-term business partnerships to drive economic growth.
