Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his happiness over the implementation of the Ayushman Bharat healthcare scheme in West Bengal, a decision made during Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari's inaugural Cabinet meeting. Adhikari highlighted six significant decisions, including the immediate transfer of land for border fencing along the India-Bangladesh border, aimed at curbing illegal infiltration. The state government also raised the upper age limit for job applicants by five years to assist youth affected by previous governance. Other initiatives include the implementation of various Central schemes such as the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana and Beti Bachao Beti Padhao. Administrative changes were also announced, including the appointment of Manoj Kumar Agarwal as Chief Secretary and the termination of certain public sector positions. The new government aims to ensure seamless delivery of Central schemes and enhance welfare for West Bengal's residents.
