This roadmap is expected to facilitate co-development and co-production of military hardware between India and Germany, while also expanding cooperation into emerging fields such as artificial intelligence, drones, and cybersecurity. During his visit, Singh will engage in talks with German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius and other senior leaders, focusing on strengthening defence industrial ties. A defence industrial cooperation roadmap and an agreement on UN peacekeeping training are anticipated to be signed. The Nifty India Defence Index saw a 1.05% increase, reaching 8,852.25, reflecting strong investor interest. Notable stock gains included Zen Technologies, which surged 6.09%, and Data Patterns (India), which rose 5.08%. This visit is significant as it marks the first by an Indian defence minister to Germany in seven years, underscoring the importance of deepening strategic and industrial defence relations between the two nations.
