On Saturday, government schools in Ludhiana organized a Mega Parent-Teacher Meeting (PTM) aimed at fostering communication between parents and educators while showcasing the Punjab government's advancements in the education sector. The event featured the distribution of pamphlets detailing various initiatives, such as the establishment of Schools of Eminence (SOE), the construction of over 12,000 new classrooms, and the recruitment of more than 12,000 teachers. Additionally, the government has introduced international training programs for educators and provided free bus travel for students attending government schools. During the PTM, students received academic materials for the summer, with younger students getting homework booklets in subjects like English and Mathematics, while middle and senior classes were given worksheets under the 'Mission Samrath' initiative. Notable attendees included MLA Ashok Parashar Pappi, who engaged with parents and teachers at the School of Eminence, Division Number 3, and MLA Kulwant Singh Sidhu, who recognized academic excellence by distributing certificates to teachers and students. Despite inclement weather, the PTM saw an overwhelming response from parents, as noted by Pardeep Kumar, principal of Government Model Senior Secondary School, PAU, who extended the meeting due to high attendance.
