On Sunday, Andhra Pradesh Transport Minister Mandipalli Ramprasad Reddy inaugurated an Electric Vehicle (EV) charging station at the Gajuwaka APSRTC depot in Visakhapatnam, marking a significant step towards enhancing clean public transport in the state. Reddy stated that Andhra Pradesh is rapidly advancing its EV policy, with plans to incorporate 3,000 buses into the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) fleet within the next 18 months. This initiative includes 750 PM-eBus Scheme buses and 500 CNG buses scheduled for delivery this year, alongside 1,450 EV buses planned for next year.
