Other adjustments include an expanded casting award, a fixed shortlist for cinematography, and new requirements for voters in various categories. The Academy aims to promote diversity and inclusivity with these updates, which have been approved by its Board of Governors. The 100th Academy Awards are scheduled for March 5, 2028.
