A legal conflict has arisen between Malayalam actor Anugraha S Nambiar and filmmaker Vijay Kumar Rajendran regarding the Tamil web series Resort, which is available on JioHotstar. Vijay's legal notice, sent through advocate J Jerom Joseph, demands that Anugraha publicly apologize within 48 hours or face further legal action. The dispute escalated after Anugraha made allegations on social media about non-payment and verbal abuse involving Vijay's wife, Nakshatra Murthy. While Anugraha issued an apology to the series producers, she did not extend it to Vijay, prompting his legal response. The notice claims that Anugraha and producer AB Sharon made false and defamatory statements, causing reputational damage to Vijay and Nakshatra. The notice demands that they cease further defamatory statements, remove existing content, and issue an unconditional apology. Civil and criminal proceedings have already been initiated against Anugraha and Sharon in a Coimbatore court. The controversy intensified after Anugraha posted videos detailing her grievances but later removed them, citing a lack of resources for a prolonged legal battle.
