The Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) is set to construct a flyover at Shaheed Rao Ranjit Singh Chowk (Baba Kanala Chowk) to mitigate traffic congestion on the multi-utility corridor connecting the Dwarka expressway and Manesar. This decision comes alongside the already approved flyover at Dadi Sati Chowk, with officials preparing a feasibility study and detailed project report within three months. The tender for the Dadi Sati Chowk flyover is expected to be issued within a week. The new flyover aims to address heavy vehicle traffic and the increasing residential population in the area. Traffic surveys show that approximately 9,700 vehicles pass through Dadi Sati Chowk during peak hours, necessitating such infrastructure improvements. Local residents have expressed support for the new flyover but have also highlighted that removing the Kherki Daula toll plaza would provide a more effective solution to the congestion problem. The Dadi Sati Chowk flyover will be a 900-meter six-lane structure, which will also include plans for an underpass on Rampura Road.
