The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued important guidelines for candidates appearing for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET-UG) 2026, which will be conducted from May 11 to May 31 in India and 15 international cities. The advisory emphasizes the need for candidates to adhere to a specific dress code and lists permissible items at examination centres. Candidates are allowed to bring transparent water bottles and can wear articles of faith, such as religious threads, provided they inform the examination centre in advance for proper frisking. The NTA recommends that candidates wear white light clothing, and they may opt for woollens if necessary, again with prior notification. For footwear, normal shoes, slippers, and low heels are preferred. The exam will be conducted in a computer-based test (CBT) format, ensuring a modern and efficient assessment process.
