Damon Leonard, aged 47 from Pleasanton, Kansas, has been sentenced to four years in prison for leaving the body of 13-year-old Airen Andula in a creek bed after the boy died from dog bites. The sentencing took place in Bates County, Missouri, where Leonard received credit for the 158 days he has already served. Airen was attacked by at least one dog while biking to a friend's house on December 21, 2022. Following a search involving multiple agencies, his body was discovered in a creek after Leonard informed the sheriff's office of its location. Leonard admitted to transporting the boy's body across state lines.
