Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced that the film 'Krishnavataram' has been made tax-free in the state following a special screening at Lok Bhavan. The event, attended by Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak, as well as other officials, featured enthusiastic chants of 'Krishna-Krishna' and 'Radhe-Radhe.' Adityanath praised the film for its portrayal of Lord Krishna's life, emphasizing its representation of the Dwapar era, Sanatan culture, and Indian traditions. He directed the Information Department to arrange special screenings across all districts to engage children and youth with Indian heritage. The film, released on May 7, is directed by Hardik Gajjar and stars Siddharth Gupta, Sanskruti, Sushmita Bhatt, and Nivasini Krishnan, with notable performances by Jackie Shroff and Ashutosh Rana.
