In a shocking incident in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, Shashi Ranjan Mishra, a 48-year-old former medical representative, has been arrested for allegedly murdering his 11-year-old twin daughters by slitting their throats. The incident occurred at their residence in Trimoorti Apartment, Kidwai Nagar, on Sunday morning. Police responded to a call around 4:30 am and found the girls dead in a pool of blood, with Mishra present at the scene. Initial investigations suggest that Mishra may have been suffering from mental health issues, including depression, following the death of his mother. He reportedly expressed anxiety about his daughters' future during police questioning. CCTV footage revealed that he took one daughter to the washroom around 2:30 am before the attack.
