This surpasses the previous record held by Chris Gayle, who scored 2061 runs in his first 50 innings. Sudharsan's achievement is notable as Gayle's record had stood for 13 years, established when Sudharsan was just 11 years old. Additionally, Sudharsan recently broke Gayle's record for the fewest innings taken to reach 2000 IPL runs, achieving this in 47 innings, compared to Gayle's 48. Former Punjab Kings player Mitchell Marsh ranks third with 1933 runs.
