The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has officially welcomed Raghav Chadha and six former members of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) into its ranks, enhancing its strength in the Rajya Sabha by seven members. Union Minister Kiren Rijiju celebrated this development, framing it as a significant blow to the opposition alliance, which he referred to as the 'Tukde Tukde INDI Alliance.' Rijiju criticized the opposition, particularly the Indian National Congress and the Trinamool Congress, for their perceived unity in Parliament despite public disagreements. He claimed that these parties acted in concert against the Women’s Quota Bill, suggesting a deeper collaboration than they publicly acknowledge. The former AAP MPs, including Chadha, resigned from their party just days prior, with AAP labeling their decision a 'betrayal' and intending to seek their disqualification.
