A recent mid-term review of the 5th National Conference of Chief Secretaries indicates that only 11 out of 134 action points have been fully or substantially completed within five months. The education sector is notably lagging, with the higher education department reporting that 26 out of 28 action points remain in progress, while only 2 have been finalized. Similarly, in the school education sector, 20 out of 23 action points are still under implementation, with just 3 completed. One of the key initiatives in school education aims for 100% basic amenities, including girls' toilets, in government schools, achieving over 70% of the target with 27,903 toilets constructed.
