Starting from the academic session 2026-27, Lucknow University will change its admission process for the Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharma) program at the Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Previously, admissions were conducted through a counselling process organized by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU). Now, the university will base admissions on the scores obtained in the Common University Entrance Test (CUET-UG). Candidates wishing to enroll must take the CUET-UG 2026. After the results are declared, they can register online through the university's admission portal. The entire admission process will adhere strictly to a merit-based system derived from CUET-UG scores. The BPharma program has 60 available seats, and candidates must have completed Class 12 from a recognized board with subjects including Physics, Chemistry, and either Biology or Mathematics, along with English. This shift aims to enhance the transparency and fairness of the admissions process, ensuring that students are selected based on their academic performance in a standardized test.
