A man was banned from all Qantas Group flights after allegedly biting a flight attendant on Qantas flight QF21, which was en route from Melbourne, Australia, to Dallas, Texas, USA. The incident occurred during an 18-hour flight, with nearly 11 hours remaining when the aircraft was diverted to Papeete, Tahiti. Local authorities boarded the plane to arrest the passenger, who was not an Australian national, allowing the aircraft to refuel and continue its journey to Dallas-Fort Worth. The flight arrived several hours late on Saturday morning (AEST). Fellow passengers assisted the crew during the altercation, which was filmed by comedian Mike Goldstein, who later shared the footage on Instagram. In the video, the passenger appeared confused and aggressive, prompting a flight attendant to remind him to behave appropriately in the presence of children. A Qantas spokesperson reiterated the airline's commitment to passenger and crew safety, emphasizing their zero-tolerance stance on disruptive behavior.
