Sahil Luthra, the Managing Director of Vijayen Trishul Defence Solutions (VTDS), a defence manufacturing firm in Delhi, reported receiving a death threat via voice note on April 24, allegedly from an international extortion network. This marks the second time Luthra has faced such threats; he previously filed a complaint in February after receiving calls from numbers based in Portugal and Germany. The callers claimed responsibility for a shooting incident at his residence in Amritsar, Punjab, and warned of future attacks, indicating they were aware of his security measures. Luthra has been receiving threats since October 2024, coinciding with his company's expansion plans in Punjab. In May 2025, VTDS also experienced attempted cyber intrusions targeting its official communication channels. Following the latest threat, the case has been referred to the Special Cell of the Delhi Police, which has registered an investigation.
