During a passing-out parade at the National Defence Academy (NDA) in Khadakwasla on May 30, 2026, Chief of Army Staff General Upendra Dwivedi highlighted the significance of Operation Sindoor, stating it established a new standard for India's military response to provocations. He emphasized that this operation, which targeted terror infrastructure in Pakistan in May 2025, demonstrated a precise and resolute expression of national will. General Dwivedi noted that today's security environment requires military personnel to think critically and act decisively, as threats can emerge from unconventional sources. He encouraged the cadets to uphold the benchmark set by Operation Sindoor as they prepare to serve in a complex and integrated military structure. Reflecting on his own experiences, he expressed pride in the values instilled at the NDA, which shape the future of all cadets, including 24 from 12 friendly foreign nations who graduated with this course. He praised the impressive drill standards displayed during the parade and extended special recognition to Cheetah Squadron for their achievements.
