Foundation Future Industries, a US-based company associated with the family of former President Donald Trump, has conducted trials of android robots in the combat zone of Ukraine. According to a report by CNBC, the company deployed two Phantom MK-1 robots for this pilot demonstration, marking the first instance of robotic technology being utilized in such a setting. The primary function of these robots is to deliver ammunition to frontline troops. However, the Phantom MK-1 model has several limitations, including a maximum carrying capacity of 20 kg and a non-waterproof body, which restricts its operational effectiveness. Additionally, the robots have a limited independent operational time, complicating their potential for widespread use in combat scenarios. In response to these challenges, Foundation Future Industries plans to develop and send an upgraded version, the Phantom 2, which is expected to feature enhanced capabilities, including a carrying capacity that is twice that of the Phantom MK-1.
