He argued that custodial interrogation is necessary to determine the origin of the forgeries and to investigate any possible foreign involvement. Khera's legal counsel, senior advocate Abhishek Manu Singhvi, countered that the case is politically motivated and does not warrant Khera's arrest, asserting that he poses no flight risk and can cooperate with the investigation without being taken into custody.
