A Nashik court has denied interim anticipatory bail to Nida Khan, a 26-year-old employee of a Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) linked BPO, who is accused of sexual abuse, harassment, and religious coercion. The court, presided over by additional sessions judge K G Joshi, stated that the case is sensitive and has issued notices to the investigating officer and the complainant’s counsel, requiring written submissions by April 27. The public prosecutor, Kiran Bandbhar, emphasized the complainant's suffering from physical and mental trauma. Khan's lawyers argued for interim relief due to her pregnancy, but the court declined to grant it, allowing the police to proceed with her arrest if necessary. The Special Investigation Team (SIT) has arrested seven employees from the BPO, including a female operations manager, and has registered nine FIRs related to allegations of exploitation, forced conversion attempts, and mental harassment of female employees.
