The UP Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) announced the results for the 2026 High School (Class 10) and Intermediate (Class 12) examinations on Thursday, impacting over 52 lakh students in Uttar Pradesh, India. In a notable achievement, girl students dominated the top ranks, with girls achieving a pass percentage of 93.76% in the High School exams, compared to 87.30% for boys, a gap of 6.46 percentage points. For the Intermediate exams, girls recorded a pass percentage of 86.32%, significantly higher than boys' 75.04%, reflecting an 11.28 percentage points difference. The overall pass percentage for High School was the second highest in the past 15 years, while the Intermediate pass percentage was the sixth highest, although it was 0.77 percentage points lower than last year. The results were announced by Dr. Mahendra Dev, director of education (secondary), and Board secretary Bhagwati Singh. Notably, Kashish Verma and Anshika Verma, both from Baburam Savitri Devi Inter College and The Modern Academy Inter College respectively, topped the High School exams with 97.83% marks. In the Intermediate category, Shikha Verma from Baburam Savitri Devi Inter College emerged as the state topper with 97.60% marks. The exams were conducted successfully from February 18 to March 12, with evaluations taking place from March 18 to April 4 at 254 evaluation centres.
