The 2026 edition of the Uttar Pradesh Board's High School and Intermediate examinations introduced several innovative measures aimed at enhancing transparency and fairness. One of the most notable changes was the deployment of signal jammers at 20 selected centres to prevent the leakage of question papers. In a significant shift, answer sheets were redesigned from a landscape to a portrait format, featuring the board’s logo and micro-printed markings for added security. To improve the efficiency of results, a pilot project was launched in five districts—Prayagraj, Meerut, Bareilly, Varanasi, and Gorakhpur—where marks were uploaded online alongside traditional evaluation methods. Additionally, the board introduced reserved sets of question papers for all subjects across every district, expanding the security measures from the previous year. The evaluation process was also enhanced with a three-tier checking system, where principals and senior teachers were assigned auditing duties to ensure accuracy and eliminate negligence.
