The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), based in New Delhi, has dismissed reports alleging glitches and delays in the evaluation of Class 12 answer sheets. Sanyam Bharadwaj, the Controller of Examinations, stated that the On-Screen Marking (OSM) system is operating effectively, countering claims made by some media outlets. Bharadwaj expressed pride in the OSM system, which was introduced this year to replace the traditional manual evaluation method. He reassured that results for the approximately 18 lakh students who sat for the exams across 120 subjects will be announced as scheduled in the third week of May. The new system is designed to enhance the efficiency of the evaluation process, with a total of 10 crore answer sheets to be assessed.
