In a concerning incident in Patapur village, located in Jajpur district, Odisha, 58 individuals, including 27 children, were hospitalized after consuming 'Cuttack Dahibara' from a local vendor. Patients exhibited symptoms such as vomiting and fever shortly after eating. They were admitted to the Dasarathapur Community Health Centre and Jajpur District Headquarters Hospital. Health and Family Welfare Minister Mukesh Mahaling confirmed that 21 patients have since been discharged following treatment. In response to the incident, the state government has established three independent teams to investigate the food and water sources, and samples have been collected for testing. The minister assured that necessary measures are being taken to provide optimal medical care for those affected.
