In a tragic incident on Sunday evening, a luxury bus driver was arrested after colliding with a scooter on the Western Express Highway in Jogeshwari East, Mumbai, resulting in the death of 32-year-old Dipen Jain. Jain was riding with his fiancée, Kajal Madeshia, who reported that they had just met to finalize their wedding plans. The accident occurred around 7:30 PM when Jadhav's bus struck their scooter from behind at high speed, dragging it underneath the vehicle. Despite wearing a helmet, Jain sustained critical injuries to his head and was declared dead shortly after arriving at the hospital. Madeshia also suffered injuries to her knees. Passersby intervened to prevent Jadhav from fleeing the scene. Following the incident, a breathalyser test confirmed that Jadhav was intoxicated, leading to his arrest under multiple charges, including death by rash or negligent act and dangerous driving.
